John 15:1-8.
You are the vine
and we are the branches.
Apart from you
we don't exist;
we are nothing;
we have nothing;
we can do nothing.
But since you are everything,
and have given us all that we need,
we can bear your fruit
in our reaching out to others,
in our love for those on the fringes,
in our care for creation,
and in the hope you give that we can share with the world.
In other words, we're MUCH better than fine.
